During the Fall of 2020, NJMLA rolled out its first mentorship program. The objective was to pair law students and young attorneys with experienced attorneys who are practicing in their field of interest. Programs like these are imperative to ensure that the next generation of Muslim lawyers has insight, guidance, and a trusted advisor to give candid advice on what it is like to be a Muslim attorney in their practice area. The program was successful, with over sixty law students and attorneys across New Jersey registering to be a mentor or mentee.
